i use andrew account since i cbb making my own even though it only takes less than a minute to make my own. meh.
dont you just hate those awards at the end of the year when they award those people who are top in a subject, they can be so demeaning/degrading/demoralising/discouraging/debasing/condescending/patronising/derisive (many words to describe it) to those students who didnt get an award. they discourage other students from achieving and make them feel like theyve failed. Even those students who get top in a subject award does not necessarily mean theyre smart, they may be doing well in that subject but could be well failing the rest of their other subjects. A person who didnt get an award and was doing well overall can get a high ATAR than a person who got top in a subject.
dont you just hate that feeling when your awaiting the results of your exams, especially hsc assessment tasks and worried that you might do bad and it may decrease your assessment mark hence decrease your ATAR. And then your slowly decreasing your chances of getting that ATAR you intend.
